@NAESP No, this is the year for teachers to give extra grace. However, if a student rarely does an assignment it makes it difficult. To raise a zero to a D doesn’t seem ok either.
We too can change evil into good each day. Loving actions change history: even the ones that are small, hidden, everyday. For God guides history through the humble courage of those who pray, love and forgive.
Jesus talked a lot about how we should identify ourselves. He said it wouldn’t be what we said we believed or all the good we hoped to do someday. He said we would identify ourselves simply by how we loved people.
Love isn’t something we fall into; love is someone we become.
Followers of Jesus, do not confuse Jesus with His followers. The most effective way to steer clear of cynicism in this current Christian climate is to stay Jesus-focused instead of Jesus-follower focused. No one is worthy of your undying loyalty but the one who overcame death.
"I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink" (Mt 25,35). Today we ask for the grace of compassion and the capacity to share in the poverty of our brothers and sisters. #EndPoverty
