Seeing too many "analysts" using a film based on a streaming show (that was popular for people in the Star Wars bubble) as evidence that Star Wars is in trouble theatrically. I don't buy it.
Most Star Wars casuals prolly didn't watch the show since, again, it was a streaming show. While others didn't feel the pull to go because they saw that it wasn't pushing the canon forward in any major way. So they could just wait for it on...streaming.
It's foolish IMO to treat the disappointing box office of Mando and Grogu as some three alarm fire for Star Wars. Starfighter will be the true test case of where Star Wars is in the public's eye. I think some of these "analysts" are just trying to get clicks for their articles or videos or content with that take.
