Just look at the fine mess he has gotten the U.S. into. Believing that you can defeat someone is not a smart reason to attack them. They feared Russia acquiring the atomic bomb, and then they feared North Korea obtaining the hydrogen bomb; both countries ended up with these weapons, yet neither of them attacked the U.S. Nuclear weapons serve as a deterrent.
