Black folk vote for candidates aligned with the party / policies that they believe will advance their interests, just like everyone else. If Black folk were broadly voting for racial representation, Black Republican candidates could turn majority Black districts red. They can’t.
They believe this is their moment of greatest leverage. I get that it might feel that way, but history appears to say otherwise. You just don’t get much leverage by threatening to withhold your vote. That stance tends to gets you ignored.

The tweets in question are widely documented, and likely already in evidence.
