Steam is now rolling out age verification in Australia for R18+ games, and the method Valve chose is already getting a lot of people annoyed.
The system asks users to add a credit card to prove they’re 18 or older and people don’t have a credit card and normally use debit cards instead.
Certain debit cards actually work and others not depending on the bank, which makes the whole system even more confusing.
And there’s another issue, people say they can be blocked from even viewing the store page for games they already own, including games like Cyberpunk 2077.
I understand that Valve need to follow Australia’s new age-verification rules, but making a credit card the main way to prove you’re an adult when for some people their account is over 18 years old feels unnecessary
When you realize that Smiling Friends had to call it quits, after 3 seasons, you understand why what South Park is doing, is very cringe. Almost 30 years of airing, and this is the culmination of your work.
Thanks Zach & Michael for ending Smiling Friends while being ahead!
Sean Murray is officially Bizarro Todd Howard, I really dont think anyone can find 2 more completely different ways of selling you the same game for 10 years. Bravo, Sean.

The people butthurt about the first picture…
…are the same people who were cheering the second picture. 🤦♂️
It’s incredible seeing such a perfect illustration of complete and utter hypocrisy. 🤷♂️
For those who are 26 years old or younger, this clip is NOT Ai.
It’s when Islamists hijacked passenger aircraft, killed crew members and crashed the planes into the twin towers.
You may be supporting Hamas and “the resistance” but September 11, 2001 is when it started.
I was right.
Playstation crapping the bed harder than Amber Heard:
- Cancels Kojima - Backs Concord
- Cancels Destiny 3 - Backs Marathon
- And oh ya, no Physical Discs - You Own Nothing
Asha is picking up a gem of gaming in Xbox. Yeah, it's a niche gem, but the games are well respected and loved.
Sony just keeps making all the wrong choices.
Get this dogshit outta here. Bro, Koei Tecmo doesn't give a shit about the DOA Community with the bullshit they are trying to pull with this generic asset flip of a character.
This character was whipped up at the last minute, hoping to satisfy the DOA Community. Bro, it's almost like they had no plans to release any new characters for DOA6 Last Round.
They thought they were able to get away with repackaging the same fucking game with minor tweaks. Once they felt the backlash from the community, they had to desperately come up with something quickly.
Think about it. We had no idea there would be any new characters from the ads. We later found out during an FGC event, when commentators read from a piece of paper the developers had brought, that a new character was coming.
Let that sink in for a second! Minato's ability, according to her backstory, is to copy other fighters' movesets using some kind of lens. That means this character is nothing more than an asset flip that can be cooked up much faster than an originally built character from the ground up.
Bro, they think we're stupid! She is another Honoka! At least Honoka was an excuse, since she was the first and only character with a moveset like this.
This character was rushed, and they waited till the very last day to reveal who she is because she was probably never meant to be in the first place!
How the fuck, do they expect us to have faith in DOA 7, when they can't handle something as simple as a DOA 6 Last Round?
We say goodbye to another legend today 🕊️
