कान खोलकर सुन लो—आरक्षण कोई खैरात नहीं है। यह सदियों से सामाजिक भेदभाव और वंचना झेलते समाज को संविधान द्वारा दिया गया प्रतिनिधित्व का अधिकार है।

भारत सरकार व लखनऊ दरबार में बैठे सत्ताधीशों, कान खोलकर सुन लो—आरक्षण व्यवस्था में किसी भी तरह की छेड़छाड़ बर्दाश्त नहीं की जाएगी। आरक्षण पर हमला यानी सामाजिक न्याय पर हमला है और सामाजिक न्याय से समझौता आजाद समाज पार्टी (कांशीराम) किसी भी कीमत पर नहीं करेगी।

हम यह भी देख रहे हैं कि इस पूरे माहौल को बनाने में मीडिया की बड़ी भूमिका है। हमारे हितों के विपरीत विचार रखने वाले लोगों को बार-बार बुलाकर एकतरफा माहौल बनाने की कोशिश की जा रही है।

लेकिन याद रखिए—हमारे सब्र का इतना इम्तिहान मत लीजिए। अगर हमारी आवाज को लगातार दबाने और नजरअंदाज करने की कोशिश की गई, तो जनता लोकतांत्रिक तरीके से इसका जवाब देगी।

हम जानते हैं कि मेनस्ट्रीम मीडिया में हमारा पर्याप्त प्रतिनिधित्व नहीं है, लेकिन हमारी आवाज को दबाया नहीं जा सकता। मीडिया को अपनी जिम्मेदारी समझनी होगी और आरक्षण जैसे संवेदनशील मुद्दे पर निष्पक्षता, संतुलन और जिम्मेदारी के साथ अपनी भूमिका निभानी होगी।

और आरक्षण का विरोध करने वालों को आजाद समाज पार्टी (कांशीराम) खुली बहस के लिए आमंत्रित करती है।
