It's yet another sunday morning

It's time for sunday church meetings

The very essence of church meetings is building up the believer who in turn builds the church

We mustn't focus on being blessed alone and not on being a blessing

It's already two services this month

Can you review your activities in church

Any new member in church via your effort?
Any person attending the new converts /foundation school/membership classes through you?

Any increase in your giving?
Did you add anything substantially to your department?
Did you assist one with material needs?
Did you minister or prayed with any church member through this month?
Have you been attending church prayer meetings?
What about mid week services?or are you a sunday sunday member?

Do this review today and ensure you make adjustments.

Don't forget to take your church notes and call up or pick up invitees for today's service(ensure some one new attends today!)

Don't forget to pray for pastor and all ministering this morning and the pauline prayers for your self too!

How do you classify an asset previously used by the entity, but management has decided to sell?

How do you classify a component of an entity, the management has decided to discontinue?

The applicable accounting standard is IFRS 5, it prescribes that accounting treatment for both instances highlighted above.

The important concept is that the entity will recover the carrying amount of an asset through sale rather continuing use.

If a non-current asset is to be classified as held for sale, the following conditions must be met:

- a commitment to sell;
- asset is available for immediate sale in its present condition;
- active programme to locate a buyer has begun;
- the asset is marketed at a reasonable price
- the sale is highly probable
- the sale is expected to be completed within 12 months
- unlikely that the plan to sell will change

Asset held for sale is carried at the lower of (1) Carrying Amount and (2) Fair Value less Cost to Sell

If the FVLCTS is lower than Carrying Amount, impairment loss is recognized and treated accordingly.

Once an asset is classified as held for sale, STOP depreciation.

Assets Held for Sale are classified separately in the Statement of Financial Position.

For discontinued operations, the statement of financial position is classified into (1) Continuing Operations (2) Discontinued Operations.

More detailed information on discontinued operations is made available in the note to financial statements and include as a line item as profit/loss from discontinued operations in the income statement.

A church meeting is a gathering of believers
We allow or disallow Gods Spirit with our attitude
As you make for church this morning ensure u have godly attitudes of reverence,honor and a teachable spirit
It's a service,ensure you SERVE your local church today
Basics like helping others to church or better still inviting others
Pray for order throughout the meeting
Pray the Pauline prayers for all participants (ephesians,Phillipians and collosians)
Pray for the preacher or pastor
Pray for yourself too
Remember punctuality,taking notes and let me add this, as much as lies within you,dress decently for this noble gathering
Remember what you learnt in church,songs and what was prayed for.
Ensure you have a swell time,i will too
