I have always known that this would eventually happen. I once shared my opinion here after watching an interview in which Biyi Omuma allegedly said that even if Jesus Christ and Peter Obi were to contest an election against each other, Peter Obi would defeat Jesus Christ.

I am not a Christian, but that is an extremely sacrilegious statement. As someone who believes in and respects Jesus Christ, I can never support anyone who makes such a statement. I said it then, and I am still saying it now. That statement has never been taken back.

Many people think I am a Peter Obi supporter, but I am not. I am simply a centrist who speaks based on what people are doing and their track record.

Now that the statement is resurfacing and going viral, people are beginning to ask questions. How can anyone make such a statement? How can I work with you when someone within your circle says Peter Obi is more popular than Jesus Christ? And Peter Obi is aware that the woman allegedly made that statement.

What kind of statement is that?

And then you expect me to move with that kind of person or movement? No.

I am telling Obidients that many of them are simply joking around. They do not seem to know what they are doing or where they are going. In my opinion, the Obidient movement and Peter Obi appear completely confused.

They have no clear direction, no concrete plan and nothing substantial to show. They are simply moving around, waving flags and making noise.

Almost two months to an election, and what do you have to show for it? Nothing but flag burning and empty political drama.

One thing you guys have mastered is evading responsibility and blaming everyone else for the consequences of your own actions.

1. Anti-Igbo sentiment was a significant factor in Southern Cameroons rejecting union with Nigeria in 1961.

Historian Victor Bong Amaazee described this as the “Igbo Scare.��� Igbo migrants moved to Southern Cameroons in large numbers, regarded the local Cameroonians as backward, dominated their commercial space and made little effort to integrate. 2. When the non-Igbo minorities of the former Eastern Region opposed incorporation into Biafra, Biafran security forces arrested minority leaders, public officials and civilians without proper judicial safeguards.

According to Nabo B. Graham-Douglas, Rivers people were detained, disappeared or killed, with bodies reportedly found in mass graves and abandoned locations. He also recorded the horrifying allegation that the flesh of murdered Rivers people was mockingly called “Win-the-War Meat”(pure cannibalism).

At the end of the day, a people who regard accountability as an attack will forever mistake the consequences of their conduct for persecution.

It’s not too late to embrace accountability.
