This line from Atomic Habits isn't ready to leave my head:
"It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment."
This is a good break down of the wage structure of football players.
But in short, these are indisputable facts:
🔺Real Madrid pays extremely high wages, many players are earning between 400-750k a week
🔺City and Liverpool pay just as high wages as Real Madrid
According to the last Deloitte Football Money League, Real Madrid paid €510m in wages in 24/25. Liverpool paid €505m. City paid €495m. See screen shots in replies.
Man Utd in comparison paid €340m in 25/26. The difference between United and City is about 15 players earning €200k a week. Then people are surprised when Anderson and Semenyo sign with City instead of United.
BREAKING: LeBron James is signing with the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-year, $8 million deal with a player option, Klutch Sports Group and Klutch CEO and Game Over show host Rich Paul tells ESPN.

🥇 2026 - De La Fuente wins 2026 World Cup with Spain
This is incredible. Since becoming the manager of Spain in 2022, De La Fuente has only lost two matches. 🤯👏
Gustavo Fring was right, if you have a problem that means it can be solved. If it cannot be solved then it is not a problem. It is a reality to be accepted.
Watch Spain at 1-0 last night. That’s courage. That’s bravery. And then watch England at 1-0. What’s the difference?
We are a better team than Argentina, I’ve no doubt in my mind. But we deserved to get beat in the end. In fact, it could have been 4-1.
Bringing on 3 defenders at 1-0 up. What message does that send? I wrote it in my Daily Mail column after the Mexico game. Until we understand that courage and bravery is controlling possession under pressure and not booting / heading it up the field 40 yards then this will always be the end result.
