Emone McLean is a Technical Program Manager III for the Copilot team. As a TPM, she drives the execution of the product development for Copilot while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. She planned the release for Copilot for Business self-serve.

Hauwa Otori is a Staff Researcher at the GitHub Security Lab. Hauwa established and developed the Lab’s socio-technical research area, where she explores the interactions between developer and security research communities.

In early 20th century, Juneteenth celebrations subsided due to Jim Crow laws. However, it was revived during the Civil Right's Movement by events like the Poor People's March by Martin Luther King Jr.

One June 17, 2021, President Biden made Juneteenth a federal holiday.

The period after Juneteenth is known as the ‘Scatter.’

The newly freed people were encouraged to remain with their past owners. Many of them didn't listen. Instead they, left to Texas to find family members and make their way in the postbellum U.S.
