It's not obvious that anxiety=self-harm. Keep in mind that self-harm is a coping mechanism. If we deal with the root cause then we can resolve the unhealthy coping skills we've developed to manage it.

Challenging negative thoughts isn't about toxic positivity, it's about questioning them, especially negative automatic thoughts, which you might not always be aware or mindful of. Replacing them with positive or even medium self-talk can make a big difference to your mindset
It's easy to say that if something's worth doing, it's worth doing 'properly' but that isn't necessarily true!
Sometimes we just need to look after ourselves in the most basic and simplified ways that we can.
