Morning! Today's our last day this year and we have some winter bedding plants. We have limited stocks of Heather, cyclamen, winter pansies, Ivy and Euonymus.
Open til 4pm today. Thanks for your support, and hopefully we'll be back again, and back to normal, in the spring.
(4/4): Lobelia ‘Sparkling Ruby’ is a clump-forming, upright perennial with mid-green leaves and tall racemes of striking ruby red flowers through summer. Grows to 1m high. Prefers moist, fertile soil in sun to partial shade. Harmful if eaten.
We're open today (Sun) until 4pm.🌻
(3/4): The Alnwick Rose from David Austin is a shrub rose with pretty, many petalled, cupped blooms of soft pink. Flowers from early summer until the first frosts. It forms a nicely rounded, slightly upright, bushy shrub with plentiful, glossy green foliage. Likes full sun.🌞
(2/4): Potentilla ‘Monarch’s Velvet’ is a clump-forming perennial with deep, intense red flowers set against rich green foliage. It looks fantastic in mixed borders with other sun-loving flowering plants. Likes full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained soil. #gardening
What's looking good today (1/4): Geum ‘Totally Tangerine’ is one of the longest flowering perennials we have, performing continuously from early May into autumn, only stopped by frosts. This fast-growing plant flourishes in free-draining soil in full sun. #plants#gardening
Also looking good: Salvia guaranitica 'Blue Enigma’ is a tall perennial with deep-blue flowers through late summer and autumn. Best in full sun but can tolerate light partial shade. Usually needs some support (like Anna after a few gins😆).
We're open today (Sunday) until 4pm.
What’s looking good?
Miscanthus malepartus – a beautiful ornamental grass, with large striking columns of silver veined broad foliage & flower heads of darkest purple-red fading to silver. Loves a sunny open position and will grow 1.8m-2.1m high. Cut down in Feb-March each year.
Finally, here's Selinum wallichianum, or milk parsley. An ideal plant for sun or shady areas and is very reliable. Excellent for its late summer flowering well into September. Loved by insects.
The rain isn’t set to last all day, so we hope to see you soon!
We also have Sedum ‘Ruby Glow’ is a small sedum for the front of the border. Loves a warm, sunny position. Gives ruby-red flowers during July and August.
Morning everyone. We’re back today 10.30-4. Here’s what’s looking good:
Oreganum ‘rosenkuppel’ is a compact ornamental herb. Perfect for growing in containers, used to edge paths and in gravel gardens. For best results, grow in free-draining soil in full sun. NOT edible.
Hydrangea macrophylla is a traditional garden plant which is very hardy and easy to grow. Big blooms from July onwards, with dead flower heads providing interest through autumn & winter. Likes slightly moist soil & part-shade, and will grow to 3m wide x 2m high if left unpruned.
Morning all! We're open today 10.30-4 for plants like this Astrantia ‘Roma’ – a hardy perennial with long-lasting, delicate pin-cushion flowers in white, (also pale pink, dark pink & red). Easy to grow, they self-seed freely, like shade and some sun, just don't let them dry out.
So please be prepared to wait a little longer, and please also check how busy we are before entering. We have hand-sanitiser available and can take card payments (although they are not contactless). We'll be keeping everything as clean as we can. #StaySafe
Obviously, with the current coronavirus situation, we've had to make some changes. 1) we're open from 10.30am, Sundays only. 2) social distancing at 2m is being followed. 3) we are not opening our refreshment caravan this year, so no tea and cake I'm afraid. #changes
Good morning! It's great to finally be opening today – we're here from 10.30am - 4pm, and we have lots of plants looking for new homes. We're next to Blackfordby Village Hall, if you're driving, park at the village hall and follow the signs. #plants#gardening
Hey folks, we're aiming to reopen the nursery on Sunday 12th July for some socially distanced plant shopping! More details, inc. opening time changes, here: https://t.co/zcMQKa2U94

We also have staff isolating at home, which has made opening impossible.
We're still emailing out our current stock list to anyone who wants it, however, we’re only delivering locally. PM your email address if you are interested. 2/2
Morning all. Just to say we are still closed and not planning to reopen for a few weeks. Also, this year we will not be able to make hanging baskets. We’re sorry we’ve been unable to open as usual, but the coronavirus restrictions have made plant supply very problematic. 1/2
