Thanks so much to @Ginella_M & @CBCNews for having me on to talk about the community-wide vaccine clinic rollout in #PrinceRupert.

About dam time!
Securing #PrinceRupert's fresh water for the next century... almost 8 years to the day, start to finish:
👉Feb 10, '15: Council approves major grant requests with water as #1 priority.
👉 Feb 8, '23: City returns to primary water supply with a new dam!
🙌👏
Watson Island winning this national award is something that everyone in #PrinceRupert can be proud of.
The last chapter of failed restarts and bailed sales is officially over. “Hell hole” no more.
Watson Island was the winner of Best Large Project at the @CdnBrownfields 2022 Brownie Awards last night! We're honoured, and want to thank all partners, and especially the Ministry of Environment, and @McElhanney for your support. Full release, here: https://t.co/N6LLqussfH
Moving into political retirement with some extra time on my hands on a Friday night...

After 8 years, this week was my final City Council meeting.
Long story, short: serving in this role has been an honour and a privilege. Thank you #PrinceRupert!

Not the case in #PrinceRupert. All 5 Council incumbents running got re-elected. The 1 newcomer aims to “complement the work the current Council has laid the groundwork to achieve”. And a former mayor won on a platform to “seamlessly keep us moving forward”. #bcpoli#bcelection
The voters have spoken, and if they made one thing clear, it's that B.C.'s 2022 municipal elections were about one thing: change.

You pay more taxes because they pay less.
When port industries in #PrinceRupert pay their fair share of property taxes, we can build a vibrant city to host a vibrant port.

My letter to the editor about the Port Tax Cap clearly struck a nerve. Hundreds of people in #PrinceRupert have since reached out asking what they can do to help.

155. PRINCE RUPERT
- it certainly tells you that you've entered prince rupert
- big 11 year old "just discovered cursive fonts and italics for his book report" energy
- the incoming welcome sign looks pretty good!
@blairmirau Thank you, Counselor Mirau! We appreciate your commitment to Vision 2030 and helping more people of all ages and abilities get around #PrinceRupert
There’s always a bright side in the City of Rainbows: this is the 1st census since 1996 showing a population increase in #PrinceRupert ; and a net increase in total dwellings, the 1st time since 2011. For those of us who lived here through those tough times…we’ll take it.
Not much growth in Prince Rupert: Just 80 more people in the city proper, and negative growth (20 people lost) in the census agglomeration #Census2022@Rupertsmaven
Serving on #PrinceRupert City Council has been the most humbling & rewarding experience of my career. Words are not enough to express my gratitude + appreciation for all the support you’ve shown over the years. So I’ll simply say: thank you, thank you, thank you.
This grainy photo was taken nearly 7.5 years ago, the night that #PrinceRupert first elected Mayor Lee Brain & me. Since he announced that he is not seeking re-election, a lot of people have been asking about my political future… 🧵
Looking back on progress made as a team at the City, we can be proud of the strong foundation built for the next mayor & Council. My political future: making space + supporting a diverse slate of new perspectives on Council who want to help realize #PrinceRupert Vision 2030. /4
