On Africa Liberation Day, I pay my respects to a great Pan-Africanist, WEB DuBois, a communist and a pioneer sociologist and historian, buried in his favourite gazebo in Accra, Ghana.
Tomorrow, the Socialist movement of Ghana will deliver PAT’s letter of solidarity to the representative of the Cuban people in Ghana. This symbolic gesture is an expression of our people’s commitment to Cuba, at a time of extreme U.S aggression. We are Cubans too!
William Ruto has auctioned our country to the globalists.
Explain to me why foreign military are suddenly docking at the port of Mombasa.
800 French military in 3 warships docked at the port of Mombasa yesterday.
The same french who were chased away from West Africa for looting minerals and other resources.
The economic hitmen. We are becoming tenants in our country.

The world's two rogue states, Israel and the USA, have started a war not against Iran but against the whole world. We stand with Iranians, with Humanity, against the notion that Israel and the US can bomb anyone their fancy takes them to bomb. https://t.co/Xn8bo7q5Xc
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been assassinated. That has been achieved by the Israeli-US war of aggression against Iran.
But can this war be won. Not at all. Do read: https://t.co/YEK4j5OHDr
The United States has a standing regulation, Executive ORder 12333, which states that no person employed by or acting on behalf of the US government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, assassination. The attempt to assassinate Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is therefore illegal even by US law.
Today, February 28, 2026, the world has witnessed a grave and dangerous escalation of aggression. In the early morning hours, coordinated military strikes were launched against the sovereign territory of Iran, with explosions rocking the capital city of Tehran and other major urban centers.
The International People’s Assembly strongly condemns the military strikes taken against Iran in the early morning of February 28th by the United States and Israel. This attack, conducted without clear justification, is an act of war against all the peoples of the region and threatens an even wider and more destructive conflict after two and half years of genocidal war against the people of Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.
We call upon social movements, political parties, labor unions, and all people of conscience around the world to demonstrate their opposition to this aggression. It is essential to uphold the principle that sovereign nations have the right to determine their own future.

#KOTOKA
It is significant that the decision to rename the Kotoka International Airport as the Accra International Airport was announced on February 24, 2026, the 60th anniversary of the overthrow of the Nkrumah government by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United Sates of America.
The renaming of the Airport definitely signifies the rejection of the subversion of national sovereignty by a foreign power.
It is in response to the demands of Ghana’s progressive forces who have for 60 years insisted on righting the wrongs of our history.
Today, members of the Accra collective of SMG took to the streets to distribute the insight newspaper as we commemorate the 60th anniversary of the overthrow of Nkrumah. The point has to be made! No two coups are ever the same. We still live in the ruins of the past (24/02/1966)
Happy red books Day. One of the biggest tools of our people’s resistance are books. Left books contains pages of struggles. Today, we do not only celebrate our books but their authors who are able to transform the struggles of our people into words that build our confidence.
The United States has always viewed Venezuela as a country that stands in sharp contrast to its Colonial and imperialist posture . Venezuela has demonstrated courage and resilience in the face of US imperialism, the reason the US has shameful kidnapped @Maduro#FreeMaduro
INTERESTING #HISTORY
The break between the Catholic Church and the Church of England (Anglican Church) was formalized in 1534, following Pope Clement VII's refusal to approve King Henry VIII’s decision to divorce his wife, Catherine of Aragon.
Henry wanted a son and not a daughter to inherit him and believed that a new wife would give him one.
It was also in this period that protestant ideas spread in England and led to the execution of religious opponents, some of whom were burned at the stake.
It is believed that the recent visit to the Vatican by Britain’s King Charles was meant to heal the wounds of the past.
King Charles and Pope Leo prayed together in the Vatican Sistine Chapel in the first joint worship of an English Monarch and a Catholic Pontiff since King Henry VII.
King Charles is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.
Marxism, which is an ever-evolving field of analysis, is the most accurate critique of capitalism. As long as capitalism remains with us, Marxism must remain until another form of critique—better than Marxism—appears. Thus far, no clearer critique of capitalism has been developed. It is true now as it was in 1867, when Marx published Capital, that the exploitation of the working class produces surplus value and it is this surplus value that creates the accumulation of capital in the hands of the capitalists and immiserates the worker, and it is this accumulation of capital in the hands of different capitalists who compete with each other that creates the conditions for a general crisis in society. If there were a better explanation of these crises that afflict us, then I do not know it.

#ZELENSKY’S EXPORT
The unelected President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky is a very desperate man and in his desperation, he is deliberately attempting to export his troubles.
Unfortunately for Ghanaians, Zelensky has chosen Ghana as one of his export destinations to sow seeds of mistrust and undermine the Non-Aligned foreign policy advocated by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
On Monday, July 7, 2025, Zelensky picked up his phone and placed a call to President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana apparently to discuss projects he and former President Nana Akufo–Addo had agreed to pursue.
He was keenly aware of the fact that unlike former President Akufo–Addo, President Mahama has not declared that his government stands firmly with Ukraine and Israel in their wars which have resulted in needless destruction and loss of thousands of lives.
President Mahama has always insisted on an immediate and permanent ceasefire based on a negotiated settlement in both cases and Zelensky was fully aware of this.
Interestingly, Zelensky unilaterally decided to report on this obviously private conversation with President Mahama on his X – page and his Embassy in Accra gleefully reposted this extremely worrying report which seeks to draw Ghana into his war with Russia and undermine the President of Ghana’s high standing as one fully committed to facilitating meaningful exchanges between the Alliance of Sahel States and the Economic Community of West African States (#ECOWAS).
Zelensky wrote “Ghana is also interested in our technologies, the production of various types of drones, and the experience Ukraine has gained during this war. Ghana is ready to finance our production, and we are ready to help our partners secure their borders”.
First, it does not make any sense for Ghana to finance Ukraine’s production of drones which it uses in its war with Russia, given the precarious state of the Ghanaian economy which is overburdened with debt and power crises.
What can be the sense in financing Ukraine’s production of drones when Ghana is unable to pay its power sector debt of US$3.7 billion? Significantly, only yesterday, President Mahama announced the cancellation of petrol allowance and allocation to all political appointees as part of the austerity measures his government is introducing.
More shocking is the promise that Ukraine will help Ghana to secure its borders. Secure the borders from whom?
Evidence abounds that Ukrainian intelligence officers and soldiers are assisting terrorist groups in the Sahel States to wreak havoc on citizens and communities in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.
Ghana’s worries about border security do not spring from threats from governments of neighbouring countries but from the terrorists Ukraine is assisting in the Alliance of Sahel States.
Secondly, how can the leaders of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger trust President Mahama as a friend, when Zelensky says that Ghana will finance the production of the drones the terrorists are using against their armies and that Ghana will also allow Ukrainian security forces to freely operate on their border?
As for the proposal to “deepen our partnership, first and foremost, in the agro-industrial sector and the creation of a food logistics hub in Ghana”, the least said about it the better. Ukraine whose leaders are all over the world with cup in hand, begging for assistance cannot be in any position to resolve any of Ghana’s problems.
Over the last three years, Ukraine has received approximately US$280 billion in military, financial, and humanitarian assistance with the US alone providing US$199.6 billion in military aid, US$48.8 billion in financial assistance, and US$3.6 billion in humanitarian aid.
Zelensky must be stopped from exporting the chaos in #Ukraine to #Ghana. His support for the terrorists in the Alliance of Sahel States has caused enough problems for us already.

#REPARATIONS
Please accept my many thanks for the interest expressed by people from many corners of the world in my book “Reparations: History, Struggle, Politics and Law”.
Unfortunately, we did not expect this level of interest and have already run out of copies.
This Morning, we asked Printer Excel Limited to print more copies for the launch in Accra by His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama (@JDMahama), President of Ghana.
We expect that the book will be available at the #Freedom #Bookshop in two weeks. Please contact them on +233504621841 for additional information.
On this day in 1944, the tragic execution of the United States’ youngest victim, George Stinney, Jr, took place via electric chair.
Authorities had wrongfully accused the 14-year-old Black child of murdering Betty June Binnicker, 11, and Mary Emma Thames, 7.
On 23 March 1944, the girls, who had been riding bicycles in search of passion flower berries, stopped to ask Stinney and his younger sister if they knew where to find ‘maypops.’ That was the last time the girls were seen alive, as their bodies were found the next day.
Following an interrogation without Stinney’s parents present, plus a rushed investigation, a coerced confession and no proper legal defence, an all-white jury convicted Stinney in just 10 minutes after a two-hour trial on 24 April 1944. Despite widespread pleas for mercy, he was sentenced to death by electrocution. On 16 June 1944, the state of South Carolina strapped Stinney to an adult-sized electric chair, too large for his 95-pound frame, making his death horrific.
His siblings and a former cellmate maintained his innocence for decades. But it was not until 70 years later, in 2014, that new evidence revealed authorities had coerced Stinney’s confession and that he had an alibi, placing him elsewhere during the crime. Judge Carmen Mullen ultimately overturned his conviction, calling it a ‘great and fundamental injustice.’
While some might call the 2014 ruling a victory, wrongful raids, violent arrests and violations of rights continue to mark Black people’s existence as an internal colony in the US. From George Stinney (1929-44) to Breonna Taylor (1993-2020), George Floyd (1973-2020) and countless others, state violence against Black people in the US isn’t an anomaly but a pillar of its racial capitalist system.
