I think that this article makes us take into consideration climate change and I’m interested to see how future heat waves will affect murres,maybe even leading their species to extinction, as murres experience this killing happens every few years.

In 2015-2016, there was a unexpected heat wave that wiped out between 50,000 to 60,000 common murres that washed up to beaches in California to Alaska. These heat waves are making fish move leading these birds starving to death.
