We believe in fostering a competitive and fair environment for all participants. Over the past few weeks, misinformation has been circulating regarding Clutch Academy’s operations, tournament rulings, and organizational decisions. We want to take a moment to clarify our stance, address recent claims, and ensure transparency moving forward.

Addressing the Misinformation & False Accusations
Several individuals, have been spreading misleading information about Clutch Academy, particularly regarding tournament rulings, SSN requirements, and community management. This has included accusations of baseless claims about organizational decisions. Additionally, some statements have suggested that certain individuals were "booted" from Clutch Academy or treated unfairly, which is false.

Misrepresentation on Social Media: Certain individuals, after participating in Clutch Academy events, have posted misleading information insinuating bias, mismanagement, and unethical behavior. These claims are not only unfounded but were also later deleted, further indicating their lack of credibility.
Private vs. Public Discussions: Some individuals have demanded internal documents, such as our nonprofit registration details, without following the appropriate verification channels. We have always been transparent about our status and have provided publicly available links for verification.
SSN Requirements: When an individual is paid by any entity in a calendar year; be it a person or organization, $600 or more it is required by IRS law to send the individual a 1099-MISC or W9 form, which requires either an SSN and/or EIN especially if the organization is a NON-PROFIT entity. To use an example in the Halo Community LVT Halo and others would require to send these documents to everyone they have worked with that has earned or will earn $600+ from them. This is considered tax fraud if not taken seriously and is an offence that we would not want anyone to experience hence why we would ask for a W-9 if they worked or we expect them to work with us.
The Importance of Tournament Integrity & Rule Enforcement
As a tournament organizer, Clutch Academy has an obligation to maintain fair play, ensure consistency, and enforce regulations that uphold the integrity of competitive events. Our decision-making process now includes:

A multi-admin approval system to ensure fairness in rulings. No single admin makes a final ruling without consulting others.
Clear CSR/MMR substitution policies that prevent unfair roster swaps. These policies will be consistently applied across all events.
Standard cam-check procedures that have been implemented in response to concerns about potential cheating or unfair play.
A strict stance against smurfing and fake accounts, which are detrimental to fair competition.
Clutch Academy will stand by astructured approach to rule enforcement going forward.

Negative-impact speech aimed at attacking individuals or organizations within the community will not be tolerated.

It is important to note that RadiantMyst and other individuals making false claims have been identified as using multiple alternate accounts to fabricate controversy.

The Role of Our Nonprofit & Financial Transparency
Clutch Academy is a 501(c)(3) public charity that operates under strict legal guidelines to ensure all funds are allocated correctly. Any claims suggesting financial mismanagement or personal gain from tournament fees are entirely false. To clarify:

Tournament entry fees are used solely for operations (production, casting, prize pools, administrative costs). Which when using the woman's tournament from last week costs approximately $650 and was free to play; the snipes tournament was roughly $450 and the cost of sign ups and fees was 64 players x $6 dollars which is $ 384not including any waivers from previous wins into tournaments and more. The draft tournament for $1000 we had approzimtely 110+players at roughly $15 with fees that would reach 1650 including waivers and that leaves $650 for production which costs on those tourney days more thanroughly going into the $600 dollar range. Not to mention we have completed 2 free to play in MCC tournaments each costing $450+ so i guess 200 pays the 900 from MCC 70 from snipers and $600 from this past weekend.
Back to professional speak: We maintain separate financial accounts to distinguish nonprofit donations from tournament revenue.
Our operational costs are documented and will be part of financial reports as we continue growing.

Upcoming Changes & Community Improvements

✅ New Tournament Admins: We are expanding our tournament staff to ensure more oversight, including MQRINE the EU Pro player as our Head Admin.
✅ Better CSR/MMR Enforcement: We are tightening our substitution and ranking verification processes to avoid discrepancies in future tournaments. As well as following what was decided as the intial decision with substitutions if any all the way through tourneys.
✅ Stronger Communication Policies: Moving forward, any concerns about tournament rulings must be directed to admins privately before being taken to social media.
✅ Expansion of Women’s Events: We are committed to providing more competitive opportunities for women and have already begun plans for another women’s event.
✅ Community Standards & Accountability: Content creators and participants engaging in toxic behavior, including body shaming or harassment, will face disciplinary actions. And we directly have taken action with individuals that may or may not have done so.

Clutch Academy has been running tournaments for less than a year, and while we have made mistakes, we have also continuously adapted, improved, and grown. We are here to provide opportunities, create a competitive space, and uplift the community. While criticism and feedback are always welcome, baseless accusations and misinformation only serve to harm the very ecosystem we are trying to build.
