@GerryCarlin@chrisorzy@KDJmedia1 I don’t think it’s a horrible take. Everyone’s situation is different, as are their interests & values.
I love travel sports. Some of my best friends have been made there, many of my son’s best friends have been made there, countless memories, etc. Do what you want, & can afford
@coachdeesmith We can all tell precisely how much you’ve forgotten, and much you never knew.
And it’s “forgotten.” Hopefully you’re not one of the high school teachers coaching kids.
This guy out here talking about high school coaches like they’re Vince Lombardi and Phil Jackson instead of folks on their third school in 9 years and teaching 10th grade economics.
@coachdeesmith@anymanfitness “The actual high school coaches” as if they are the crème of the crop in sports rather than half of the coaches being science teachers and counselors just getting some extra money for coaching a sport. Your takes get worse every time.
@coachdeesmith@anymanfitness Rarely do I see a collection of opinions as ridiculous as this. “Rec kids develop just as well as club kids and anything above a couple hours a week is diminishing returns.” Wow.
@coachdeesmith This is horrible advice if you want your child to play even varsity level sports at a decent sized high school, let alone anything at the college level.
Tyler Hansbrough (@THANS50) called it!! 👀
“The last name that a lot of people really haven’t talked about publicly, who I think could actually get some momentum, is Mike Malone.”
Duke’s peak in-game win probability in its last four losses:
2025 Final Four vs Houston: 97.5%
December 2025 vs. Texas Tech: 97.8%
February 2026 vs UNC: 95.1%
Today vs. UConn: 98.7%, per ESPN
