Frequency is important, but severity matters!

26 catastrophes were declared by @CatIQ_Inc in Canada last year with total insured losses in excess of $3.5b.

This year, 11 cats (so far) have caused insured losses of more than $8b.

One summer as a kid, I went to an astronomy camp at the Ontario Science Centre. Each morning, the kids would go to the auditorium before being sorted into their camps and they would play videos while we waited. The Cat Came Back was on every morning and is the one I remember best

Experienced this 2 weeks ago. The bus was also full, so I had been standing in the aisle for an hour. Looking out the window, a man and his elderly dog were hobbling along faster than we were moving.

My bus has been stuck on the gardiner of ramp just a few hundred metres short of Union Station for 20+ mins now. Really frustrating that there is no bus priority to allow buses to get in and out of the station without having to sit in traffic.

My grandmother who lived in Scarborough was on a game show and won a large supply of orange soda (which makes sense with the product overstock theory). I always wondered what game show it was, though it seems a few different games were filmed in the same building.

Recorded out of CFTO-TV in Scarborough, it became the longest running game show in Canadian history.

Since I was relatively close, I also dropped by @HowickMutual in Wingham, ON. Founded in 1873, Howick Mutual amalgamated with Grey & Bruce Mutual in 2014 and kept the Howick brand.
