@UntilPersona Now this HAS to be a coincidence but the time from P5’s announcement to western release (Announced Nov 24th 2013 Western Release April 4th 2017) was 1227 days..
@libsoftiktok@NCDOR … how many taxpayer dollars do you think it cost to make a graphic for twitter? Of all the issues in this country THIS is where your outrage goes? What a privileged life you must lead.
DOJ also arguing that the ballroom simply can't be stopped by the courts — even if the admin had overtly violated the law to build it — now that it's so far along. Only Congress can, DOJ says.
@DaveEck9@TheBallotBook Long story short, if you think the Democratic Party has the structural credibility to steal elections, I’m a card carrying member of the party but you have more faith in Democrats than I do.
@DaveEck9@TheBallotBook Except when we don’t. Like the presidential election in 2024. Or the presidential election in 2016. Or the elections for the House in 2024. Or the elections for the House in 2022. Or the elections for the Senate in 2024. Or the elections for the Senate in 2022. Oh no! The charac-
@sabregold19991@M5squared First of all, try drawing a map in Massachusetts that doesn’t explicitly try to just get to 50%+1 GOP. I promise you can’t. The distribution of democratic voices is too much to overcome. Second of all, if you dislike gerrymandering, support the Democratic push for a national ban!
@BP3DApps@SpeedScandal@Overheatedsx@TopFighterPilot@micah_erfan@TheDemocrats But then, the Great Depression hits and an entire generation of votes goes back to the Democratic Party. But the north/south divide on economic AND racial issues was more stark than the party divide because the south has always been more conservative. Again, none of this is hard.
@BP3DApps@SpeedScandal@Overheatedsx@TopFighterPilot@micah_erfan@TheDemocrats Then, after reconstruction ended, Dems swept back in control promising to restore southern values. The first former confederate state to vote republican was Tennessee in 1920. This was a new generation that didn’t grow up in reconstruction so they didn’t have party loyalty.
@SpeedScandal@BP3DApps@Overheatedsx@TopFighterPilot@micah_erfan@TheDemocrats God this is such an intellectually lazy argument. The South has always been conservative. Democrats controlled the south for so long because the GOP had no party infrastructure. Voters in the south didn’t love gay marriage and abortion until 15 years ago and suddenly wake up.
One thing that I love about New Jersey, is I can just be an asshole while breaking up with my apartment complex. They didn’t just earn it, they probably expected it.
