Atlantas police budget is a third of the general fund. A whole third. And that’s just the municipal police. It’s also the most surveilled per capita.
Just like adding more lanes don’t actually fix traffic, adding police don’t fix ‘violence’
So, uh... liberals warned you about the true purpose of DOGE a year ago.
I speak for all of us when I say we are really getting sick of being right all the time.
It's genuinely horrifying and it needs to stop.
Gas moped was going 40 mph down the east side Beltline.
He passed me alongside Piedmont Park, we chatted at the Monroe intersection where I asked him to take the street and not the path.
That’s when he quickly accelerated away.
@AtlantaBeltline
It should piss off Atlanta residents & local leaders alike that other cities are building rail expansions while Atlanta is sitting on approved projects & funds, yet continuing to idle.
What’s really crazy is Atlanta had their project first and within 20 years NYC hit every goal and then added more goals and hit those before Atlanta has even finished paving our project
Hey @ATLDOT
I already called but Monroe and 10th st traffic and ped lights are completely blacked out. I almost witnessed 2 accidents in the 5 minutes of standing at the intersection.
Pedestrians lives are also at stake.
