@FreedmRings No hating. That’s what I said people cheering, having a good time+on vacation. I’ve lived in the US-I know there’s millions of great Americans. They haven’t created the view of the US it’s government. I mentioned SI because they’ve spoken to more visitors than you or I.
@Rickduck12@arberx_ It’s also why more and more European players are dominating in the NBA. AAU players play far more games than they do practises whereas in Europe it’s the opposite.
@arberx_ The people talking the most about US soccer are Americans. The world already knew that the US was a mid tier team. Nothing wrong with that but it wasn’t a surprise.
As far as not playing any other sports maybe look at the NBA where the top 5 or 6 players aren’t Americans.
@therealwildcur The golf stat includes anyone who played a round and tennis the same. The same could be said for how many high school football players switch to golf and tennis? Like I said I’m guessing a lot more adults continue to play soccer as they grow older than football players.
@therealwildcur I explained the dif between participation and watching. 5 year olds do what their parents sign them up for. It’s an activity everywhere, Europe and here in Canada. The US isn’t unique in this regard. Having a kid who went to the US and played Div.1 bball I’ve seen the process.
@therealwildcur Of course it’s youth/how many adults play NFL style football? Don’t think many play full contact football. Americans view football more but participation thru all demographics it’s soccer. Easy to find those numbers. So are you calling your soccer team uncoordinated kids?
@MATTDUNN_radio@USMNT@FIFAWorldCup Really? What I’m seeing is Americans after the loss talking about how they don’t care about soccer and how they’d be successful if there athletes didn’t choose football.
@McGuireClancey@Martyupnorth Education whether formal or not have informed people of the impending crisis. That makes sense, there’s a huge problem facing our planet. There’s no conspiracy. Those who oppose the idea of climate change is largely those who depend on oil resources. So vested interest
@travismsnow Much of what you say is true but that they would have won - don’t think so - the US really isn’t close to the top Euro Clubs. You’re on a similar level as Canada - promising but still a long way to go.
@MattLeinartQB That’s a reasonable except why do Americans exclaim they’re “the best country in the world” when all the metrics say otherwise? It sounds insecure. I’ve noticed that the best artists, athletes and business people never talk about how great they are. There’s power in being humble.
@ColdWarVet1980 You have a new banner and that’s meant to convince your neighbours to support Albertan independence? You’ll need more hard facts than a sign that clearly shows a lack of understanding of what socialism is
@GoForMMR@tjhawkins@BEARDO You may not play that well at an international level but as a youth sport it’s number one so to say it’s not popular that’s just ain’t true. More young people play soccer in the US /4mil-than the entire population of Belgium.
@Jaberuski One loss and you guys are obsessed with tying to convince the world of the greatness of your games. Like any sport it takes time to understand it, When you’re new to American football it seems weird how the play stops every 5 seconds.
