This week has been full of joy! Our school-age team visited many special programs, preschools and our very own UPK in preparation for our 23-24 Kindergarten cohort.
Student presentations were the culminating event of 4 weeks of hard work. Ss used recorded paper slides, posters and electronic slide shows to showcase the lives of well known civil rights figures. Great job! ๐ @MrsLaVoieECS
Mr. Turchetti engages ELA students in a new unit where Ss will use concepts of individual acceptance, understanding of Autism and perspectives on Neurotypicality as foundations for their work. Great topic, extended conversations and student engagement. #sfcsdproud
This afternoon, students and teachers were warming up at their second ASL club meetingโand loving it! MS teacher, Mrs. Parsons facilitates this club. She uses her background experience to teach elements of American Sign Language and Deaf culture.
Two of our superstar social workers, Mrs. Tompkins and Mrs. Moulton, share PBIS BLUE recognition strategies with our transportation staff this morning. Lots of great questions and participation. ๐ #sfcsdproud
We are off to a great start this year! Teachers are setting a strong foundation starting with relationship building and then learning new routines/expectations. #sfcsdproud
Our full day training for our paraprofessionals concluded with impactful take away statements and positive hope for the school year. Thank you to our school psychologists and @SenecaCountyCS@JFantigrossi for facilitating todayโs learning. #SFCSDPROUD
It is a RARE occasion when our admin professionals congregate so when it happens, you capture the moment. It has been a BUSY summer to say the least, but you all manage to keep the building and district offices running smoothly. Thank you! ๐ #SFCSDPROUD
Setting the foundation is key to a great team teaching partnership. Thank you to our teachers, K-5 principals and facilitator, @stephburns410 for a productive day. #SFCSDproud.
