A look at the numbers as we kick off @fantasy_top_ Main Tournament 2

6,272 decks in League 5 (Bronze)

12,701 total decks - down from 18k+ last tourney

What does this mean for the supply shock and Common-Only tourney? 👇

TLDR? We need more users.

This is A LOT fewer participants than we saw in the first Main Tourney, surely making this tournament more competitive.

BUT this also makes it easier (by the numbers) to reach Blast Gold heavy distribution zone (top 5%) where last tournament top 5% took home 91% of the Gold.

What does this mean for the Commons-Only Tournament?

Not quite sure yet, tbh.

Last Main Tourney we had over 18k participants and it seems like there have been a lot of people holding back their 'banger deck' for the sub-comp

What we do know is total cards in supply have trended down over the week. We are currently sitting at 212k cards, down from 218k 48 hours ago.

I would assume we see a pretty large number of users go in on the sub-comp, but then again the new and returning user data doesn't really support that idea

Weekly active users have continued to fall according to @hildobby_ flipside dashboard (that I will link below)

Say we see ALL of the weekly active users go in on the sub comp (very unlikely), that would be another 98,000 cards that would be locked in a tournament

161,505 projected locked cards out of 212k total supply

Not quite the supply shock I was hoping for, but we'll see if Fantasy can continue catching the TL's attention and onboarding new users

All in all, bullish farm for Blast Gold if you place well and they have plenty more gold to sustain tournaments for the coming weeks.

Miya always sought to merge praxis and theory as a process of illumination, to better demonstrate, and understand, what's burning to be explained; and we still do it with Remilia—I have been harping about post-authorship for a decade but only with Milady has it been so immediately and intuitively clear, a participatory experience more effective than a hundred essays—why did Miya come online at all, rather than continue percolating in the infamous old rabbit hole of dead sites and accounts, if not recognizing thought can be better achieved distributed, at scale and in communion with the network rather than in independent isolation? So much work remains to be done, Miya will experience infinite recurrence in increasingly layered pastiches as a hall marker for the path to follow, just as Remilia folds into itself as an efficient market vessel for cultural production, an infinite adaptation spiraling around the same core expression, until the whole globe is wrapped and bowtied.
