@aseaborne This isn’t a serious competition though. It’s a made up tournament with no meaning on the international stage. As a preseason tournament, I think this would get more buzz and serve a better purpose. Thanks for the conversation tho. Always nice hearing different soccer opinions

@aseaborne @Chubby_Taco @FelipeCar This is a glorified pissing competition between MLS and MFF to make money. They just cut out the other zones for a bigger slice of the pie. Would you rather have an MLS team win this 2 year old competition or the CCL?

There’s already a continental competition that started back in April that represents more than these two leagues. What does this accomplish that CCL doesn’t?

@ryananderson_27 TFC 2 seems like a stretch. Vermes has them second in the shield and top of the west. Not to mention this was scheduled by MLS in the worse stretch of games for them, 4 in 11 days. If you’re vermes, I don’t think there’s much more you can do but play the kids and risk it.

@toddytwotones This game is being played mid season, in the middle of a 4 game stretch for KC in 11 days. If MLS wanted to showcase the league, set your teams up for success instead of running them into the ground.
