@Jeast229@SenWarren You’d rather people who are legally on the path to BECOME citizens just be deported? Why do we even have an immigration system then? So you want whoever YOU deem “belongs here” to stay and for everyone else to get the fuck out, got it👍
Too many people are taking way too much offense to words that I didn’t even use in my post😂I’m not attacking you or anyone else. My post is about people who point their fingers at migrants being the ONLY issue when it comes to the housing affordability crisis. And my post is about people attacking a bipartisan bill that aims to HELP Americans. Why is anybody mad about that??🤔
Covers *some* rental help yes and there are requirements to qualify. It aims to move families out of shelters because we also have a shelter crisis here. Imagine if more states aimed to actually help migrants succeed? Then we wouldn’t have these sanctuary states bursting at the seams. People tend to ignore too that the immigration process in the US has been designed to fail for way too long. The process is not working for many reasons and needs to be addressed. I can’t wrap my head around ignorant people who just want to “get everyone out who doesn’t belong here” when immigration is literally what this country was founded on. People CAN immigrate and the system CAN work for everyone…the system is just broken.
I’ll just address some of the (rational) comments here. I never once said boomers need to or should sell their homes. I’m simply saying that to ignore all of the factors and just blindly point to migrants as the only reason for our housing crisis with literally zero data to back it up is disingenuous. And don’t point me to the newest laughable “data” from the Fed Reserve with the shocking claim that they drove up rent and house prices 20% and 30%. It’s simply not true. But it’s not surprising to me that the racist president and his racist administration would inflate numbers and keep pushing this narrative to their covert racist audience, who would eat it up no questions asked. Case in point.
Also, instead of celebrating this heavily supported bipartisan bill which aims to do all GOOD things for Americans who are struggling, you choose to make it about your hate for fellow human beings who don’t look like you. Your president ran his whole fucking campaign on affordability. And when a bipartisan bill comes along that aims to do exactly that, he literally says that is not a priority of his and refuses to sign it. Does that give you any pause at all? Do you understand how ridiculous you look to applaud this behavior and be MAD about a bill that HELPS Americans?! Wake the fuck up! Stop treating what you are told by this administration as Bible and start being an active participant in your own mental processes.

@Jeast229@SenWarren Yes I live in MA and illegal citizens are NOT eligible for mortgages or rentals through the program. These are just the lies you are made to believe and the point of my post.

All these comments blaming migrants for our housing crisis are killing me🤣🤣let’s all ignore the multitude of boomers who refuse to sell their too big homes and the private equity firms buying up all the houses and jacking up the prices and blame the people who have come here in search of a better life who are most likely literally scraping by👌do you people really not realize how stupid you sound?? Stop allowing yourselves to be brainwashed by the ones who are actively dividing our country and pointing their fingers at someone else when THEY are the ones causing the problems!
Sorry to say I have very low confidence that Foley is gonna do shit. I don’t like her. She’s no Levy. It’s not hard to tell the difference between their offices just by reading their posts. You know, like how they use words like alien every time they report on arresting an illegal migrant. She just took her marching orders and does nothing more. It’s not a surprise with the administration change but it sucks. I truly believe they will do NOTHING while she is there and that is why Deitch left to run for DA. Hope I’m wrong.
