If I want to send over $1,000 to anyone using my bank, I have to do it over multiple days or pay extortionate fees.

The banks also rehypothecate my funds, take nearly all the profit, and offload most of the risk onto me while giving me insulting interest rates.

If the bank fails and is not a major chain or is spuriously chosen to not be bailed out, my funds exceeding $250K can be lost.

If you're in a country suffering hyperinflation, crypto stablecoins are the easiest way dollar-hedge.

If you want to send donations directly to people in impoverished countries without robust financial infrastructure or with punitive exchange rate fees, crypto is by far the best option.
