To add: these are all things you risk inflicting on others if you don't (high risk ppl still need to live their lives). You can still be infectious without showing symptoms, and we all breathe the same air. The vaccine is good harm reduction, but it doesn't make you bulletproof
Why am I still masking?
Because we are in an active airborne pandemic.
Because SARS Cov2, is known to cause immune, brain, and heart damage, to list just a few.
Because being sick sucks.
Because bird flu is breathing down our collective necks.
Because being sick sucks.

@stormcrowmanor Really wish you guys weren't leaning into Generative AI for this. These resource-intensive AI apps are built off mass data theft and giving them space hurts working artists. I understand why people are compelled to use them, but my last dungeon meal left a bad taste in my mouth.
Everyone’s talking about masking, so I highly recommend reading this from Will Toledo. He opens up about his Long COVID experience and why staying careful is still super important.

See below research.
All seven human coronaviruses can trigger neurodegenerative diseases. ALL SEVEN!
That’s the four ‘mild’ ones, that cause colds, and the three ‘severe’ ones, SARS1, SARS2 (aka Covid-19) and MERS.
You really don’t want to catch even ‘just a cold’…
Even Olympic athletes aren’t bouncing back from COVID.
A new study out of Germany found that nearly 40% of elite athletes across several sports had reduced performance lasting >4 months after acute COVID-19. This was despite the majority having mild acute infections and none of the athletes having pre-existing health conditions.
Fatigue, shortness of breath, and pain were common, persisting symptoms, indicating a need to change current return-to-play protocols for athletes.

I caught wind of this late, but I know a lot of my friends are super into the Oblivion remake rn. If you didn't know, check and see if you're still within the refund window and try and avoid promoting it.

I understand wanting to go 'back to normal'. Pandemics are traumatizing
But they don't end when we decide we've had enough. The threat doesn't go away because we have 'Covid fatigue'
We must stop denying the reality that Covid is still with us, still killing & disabling.
We need to stop asking people when they’ll stop taking Covid precautions, and instead ask when others will start.
We all share the air. It’ll take a collective effort to reduce the spread of Covid & other diseases.
Repeat infections are not inevitable. Masks & clean air work!
People say Covid is here to stay and we’ve “learned to live with it”.
No we haven’t. We’ve capitulated to it.
We’ve accepted repeat infections as inevitable.
Learning to live with it would involve clean air, masks in healthcare, better tests & treatments and free respirators
Hey everyone, I've got an important announcement. It's hard for me to really say this, due to a recent personal situation, I'm being kicked out of my current residence. I'm looking for some financial help so that I can afford to a roof to have over my head.
