One thing I’ve always loved about Sylus is that he doesn’t want you to NEED him. He doesn’t want you to have to rely on him.

He wants you to be strong and independent and to never have to rely on anyone but yourself. He will always be there, of course, to catch you if you need it and he makes sure you know that.

But he isn’t about that codependency and toxic “I am the protector” masculinity.

He’s all about freedom. It’s why wings are his element. He wants you to soar high on your own.

And so he doesn’t stand in front of you to protect you. He also doesn’t stand behind you as pure support.

He stands right NEXT to you. He wants you to be equals and that’s what a healthy relationship is all about.
