I can’t see how we can make it anymore clear, the web needs https, it’s important and solves a lot of problems and has 0 downside, it’s faster, safer, free, and easy to use now. @itraor
@itraor@davewiner Using https prevents this, and https is free to use and install (non profit company lets encrypt makes it free), and also gives major speed boosts using synchronous resource loading that can only work over https allowing pages and resources to actually load a lot faster. (4/4)
@itraor@davewiner It happens a lot actually. It also means anyone at a local network or hacked device on the same network as you can modify pages, and see every page and site you ever view. (3/4)
@Scott_Dayman@davewiner Seeing as Firefox is already doing some of this on inputs, and is expanding it in the next year, same with Opera, Safari, Chrome. This is actualy good news and good for the web, more secure, faster, compleatly free to enable, and HTTPS is not controled by any company.
