@AlexionIQ He was using his CDMs to track the running player too. If the guy press, you'll pass to the nearest player and that running man is now free. If you use everything to attack, expect a person to defend with everything they have.

@AlexionIQ Your opponent is not wrong. This type of play... We all know you'll be running down the wings then get the ball to the player outside the box. The best way is to drag CDM nearer to the expected player. Also he did switch to his RB and CB too.
