for pride month id like to repost this video where this lovely person went all the way to palestine after receiving comments that Palestinians would kill them if they were openly queer over there.
It genuinely feels like I’m going insane. We had already collectively agreed the guy on the right was not the shooter when this all initially went down. Only for everyone to immediately forget when his trials started, and now suddenly everyone’s back to being reasonable?

The criticism in the comments is so fucking stupid and forced
Literally any of you would feel like this if you found out you invited a murderer to your house, get a fucking grip
@DeeLaSheeArt I mean people are also protected by the Good Samaritan law. In Oregon I’m pretty sure it at least acts as a good legal defense if you get sued. I work at the facility this happened at, and if I was there I’d like to think I would’ve at least tried to help regardless
@BourgeoisRadley@puuuu_ch What I’m saying is that they are seeing that point, and dismissing it, purely because “it’s wrong to pirate because it’s illegal”, there’s no logic behind it. Because as said, they conflate law with morality.
@puuuu_ch@BourgeoisRadley I think Japanese society is so rooted in order and not stepping out of line to avoid causing trouble, to the point that law gets confused with morality
@FuaFpHMmRRkqCWr@your_etoile@simplesaitama22@prism_magica@fishin4l0ve No, companies in Japan are just as evil. The only difference is your country has laws against laying off employees, unlike here in the states where companies can realistically lay you off for whatever reason and get away with it. In Japan they just bully you till you quit.
@wheresthepesto@ToonLibertarian@ProudSocialist I’m not sure, this happened during day shift and they ended up ending shift early cause of this. As far as I’m aware none of our managers brought up the incident and any of our start up meetings either
@ToonLibertarian@ProudSocialist I work at this warehouse. I work nights and our entire shift was canceled and we were all paid for the missed shift. Not even an hour later on r/amazonfc there was a post saying someone died at the warehouse. Had a heart attack and hit their head
@ActualCorn I work at this one. Craziest thing is, these warehouses will have stuff like this happen and you’ll continue seeing posters in the meeting areas saying “this warehouse was rated best for safety this year!!”. Most people know it’s bs but it’s still wild
I work at this one. The unfortunate truth is we’re all disposable to companies like this, and as time goes on it becomes more and more apparent. Worst part is they’ll have posters in the meeting spots saying “this facility was rated best for safety this year!!” While this happens

A worker died at an Amazon warehouse in Oregon last week.
For more than an hour, workers in the facility were instructed to continue working as the man lay dead.
One worker wanted to help, but a manager told them to “Just turn around and not look. Let’s get back to work," according to The Western Edge.

@MorePerfectUS I work at this one. Supposedly the guy had a heart attack and hit his head. It wasn’t my shift, but later that day we got a notification that our shift that night would be canceled and we’d be fully paid. Went to r/amazonfc and the top post was “someone died at pdx9”
