to pave the way is grand but it is fundamentally a burden. and BTS continue to bear that burden with the strength they gain from us. I am so fucking proud they decided to continue down this road they’ve paved, with the strength and integrity they desired.
I don’t think we can understate how important the title, ARIRANG, is and how important that title’s origins are. like at all. like adiba says, co-signing the creation of it with THIS album… nah.
the gag is bts knew they wouldve had a near guaranteed grammy win with this new asian pop category but understand that cosigning this category wld mean that ultimately asian language acts would be gatekept out of the main/general categories
BTS are my best fucking friends and every time they would go to the Grammys I felt like I was watching some goofy ass bitch play in my best friends face and I couldn’t slap the bitch and it was aggravating but I was patient and now my friends slapped the bitch
do you know how fucking refreshing it is to see an artist stand their fucking ground against a gigantic fucking institution in 2026. I feel vindicated, not only as an ARMY, but as a human. BTS, you will be good. you were always gonna be good, but it only confirms it.
the world is so much fucking bigger than that tiny ass ceremony and I know these accolades mean something to BTS but I am GLAD it doesn’t mean more than the INTEGRITY OF THEIR ART. FUCK THE RECORDING ACADEMY.
