Really difficult to explain what we are seeing with Devin Booker tonight. No baskets as we near the end of the first half, five big turnovers and the Suns best stretch of basketball came while he was on the bench in the second quarter (17-9 Suns run).
Lakers completely whiffed on 2 top draft picks and still got a solid squad with depth. If Hood-Schifino and Knecht had been players that turned into anything at all they would be dangerous
I am worried about Devin Booker thinking that he can just shrink into a smaller role in moments like these.
Getting older is natural but you can't just be Khris Middleton on $60 million a year
I am 100% behind Devin Booker here. Last night was not a good look for our league. Let me be clear, we didn’t lose because of officiating, but that doesn’t make last night any less important. If the referees are going to demand respect from the players - as they should - then the players should demand respect from the referees. When a referee is missing calls and clearly disrespecting the players, almost mocking them, they must be held accountable. Nobody who loves this game enjoyed watching that last night. They want to see the players compete at the highest level. The league needs be far more aggressive about this kind of thing. All players and all fans deserve it.
Devin Booker:
"It's definitely something that has to be looked into…In my 11 years, I haven't called a ref out by name, but James was terrible tonight, through and through…”

Booker is still a great player but he doesn’t have the superhero “get on my back” hero ball mode anymore. Like you never see him put the blinders on and go to work anymore. Maybe too many double teams maybe he’s too ethical of a hooper nowadays
