Update on the CLARITY Act: Both sides of the Senate vote will be meeting for an hour to discuss the bill and whether any senators are willing to reconsider their positions.
Hopefully, cooler heads prevail and the true Cryptoilians can finally thrive.
I applaud Senator Thom Tillis for changing his vote at the last minute and pushing for reconsideration, giving the Senate another opportunity to hopefully talk some sense into those who remain opposed.
The CLARITY Act is about more than simply regulating crypto. It is about establishing clear rules, targeting bad-faith actors and financial criminals, and creating an environment where legitimate participants in the industry can thrive.
I am deeply disappointed with the outcome of today’s CLARITY Act vote and with the decision of my fellow senators who voted against advancing it.
Delaying this legislation is doing more harm than many realize. We have an opportunity to establish clear rules for the digital asset industry, protect Americans, and give law enforcement stronger tools to target serious financial crimes. Holding up that progress over demands for greater control of the entire industry is, in my view, misguided.
The CLARITY Act is intended to create a clearer regulatory framework while helping combat money laundering, fraud, and other genuine threats to our economy and national security. Those are the threats we should be focused on.
We should be working together to establish clear rules and go after the actual criminals exploiting this technology. Frankly, who cares if the crypto bros want to trade their little farting dog butt coins? Yes, they actually have Fartcoin, Buttcoin, and many Dog coins that are highly valued; which I find hilarious.
I hope those who opposed moving this legislation forward reconsider their position and recognize the consequences of continued inaction. This should not be about ego, politics, or who can exercise the most control over an emerging industry. It should be about protecting our country, our economy, and our citizens while giving legitimate innovation a clear path forward.
63 years ago today, four innocent young girls—Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, Carole Robertson, and Denise McNair—were murdered by the KKK in the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing.
As we remember this dark day in our nation’s history, may we honor their precious lives and continue to form a more perfect union every day.
America must win the AI race and maintain our competitive edge against China. However, we have an obligation to ensure innovation continues to flourish on our shores while keeping the American people safe. I look forward to working with my colleagues on this.
Today, Democrats in the House have their first opportunity to prove what they’ve been saying for years: that they want Putin’s war of aggression to end.
Let’s get @POTUS the tools he needs to bring much needed peace to the region.

The FBI’s Kinetic Cyber Range at Redstone Arsenal is leading the way in preparing law enforcement to combat modern cyber threats. Proud to have this cutting-edge training facility in Huntsville!
The 2026 World Cup was an incredible success. Now, we need to build on what we learned and ensure law enforcement has the tools and resources needed to keep Americans safe at major events from college football on Saturdays to the 2028 LA Olympics.

The CLARITY Act gives digital assets clear rules of the road, protects consumers, and keeps innovation and jobs in America. Congress has an opportunity to ensure America leads the future of digital finance.
Let’s get this done.
Happy National Truck Driver Appreciation Week! This week we’re celebrating the hardworking Alabamians who keep our state moving.
Alabama truckers are the backbone of our nation’s supply chain and are essential to delivering critical goods and equipment. Thank you for all that you do to keep Alabama strong.
I’m honored to be named a Federal Champion by the American @FloodCoalition!
I am proud to support Alabama’s world-class research institutions as they advance America’s flood forecasting capabilities to mitigate loss of life and help communities across our state better prepare for severe weather events. https://t.co/wukA7nJq37
The tragedy of 9/11 touches us all in some way. Today, Wesley and I join countless Americans in lifting up those who lost loved ones as a result of the terror of that day.
We’re especially remembering the Alabamians we lost on September 11, along with every American whose life was taken that day.
May God rest their souls, and may we never forget.
@vladtenev Since buyers aren't actually any rights over the shares, who cares
@CEOAdam can suck it up, who cares if they pair his stock to a funny meme. Matter of fact, I HOPE someone pairs it to some farting cat just to spite him.
