Remember Hind Rajab.
Just 6 years old. She sat for hours on the phone to paramedics with 6 murdered family members around her.
She told them “They are shooting at us. The tank is next to me.”
The Red Cross waited hours for Israel to permit them rescue her.
When the ambulance that was cleared to rescue arrived they executed the medics and then murdered her putting 355 bullets into the car she was in.
Her final words to paramedics and recorded were "I’m so scared, please come".
When someone says: "I don't know how to help"?
But all I'm asking is for people share and leave a dot.
3 replies — even dots — can save my children 💔

congratulations to him 🤍 that’s an incredible achievement. no child should ever have to live or succeed under these conditions though. it’s hard to celebrate w/o also sitting w the fact that we keep valorising suffering instead of being outraged that this is still a thing.
“oksalayo the kids from hilton college will be at varsity with our kids from vulindlela high” is such warped thinking to me. yes, varsity brings together people from all walks of life, but that line is almost always hypothetical. even in your imagination, your future children are still negotiating under-resourcing. you have to want more for the people who come after you.
To Refaat Alareer’s friends and loved ones around the world,
Today, 10 months after we recovered his body and laid him to rest in the Ibn Marwan cemetery, we were finally able to build his grave and place the headstone, after immense difficulty reaching the site near the yellow line and finding the necessary construction materials.
It’s a strange, bitter mix of sorrow and relief. That building a simple grave for someone we love has become a source of comfort says everything about what has been taken from us.
Sleep in peace, my beloved, Refaat. And may the eyes of cowards never sleep.
