My journey with atopic dermatitis, mainly ranting! Trying steroid-free since 2017, tweeting 'cause at least I don't have to bore my friends with my #skinthings!
Also taking anti histamine more freely, say every other day or if I can feel a bout of face itchiness coming. The whole non scratching plan seems to be the hardest to stick to, but I am still trying!
I am noticing some improvements so I'll stick to this for a little longer!
A follow up on the new face washing regime: Serozinc has become my cleanser, I spritz it, rub it in, wipe it away gently with a cotton pad or facecloth, spritz it again sparingly and then moisturise normally. Tap water is allowed near my face only when I'm in the shower, soap (1)
So I'm guessing this technique is cleansing enough, but it's been about 10 days. I did a couple of Dead Sea Salt baths. V soothing, V relaxing, trying to make them at least a weekly occurrence. Moisturiser is the usual and it gets slathered on at constantly, nothing new here (3)
@eczemasupport It works only if I literally keep on telling myself not to and keep my hands occupied...I hope it might become habit if I stick to it long enough!π€
Trying a no tap water facewashing regime, to manage the stupid face flareup! So far rinsed with water and Dead Sea salt (yesterday evening) and used Serozinc spray and a cotton pad this am...all of this is not sustainable moneywise, send help!
Trying a no tap water face washing regime, to manage my stupid face flareups...not sure how to pull this offπ€¦π»ββοΈπ§ββοΈ
So far rinsed in Dead Sea Salt water (as in tap water + DSS) or the serozinc spray from LRP, but clearly not sustainable moneywise. We'll see...
I haven't looked at myself in the mirror all day but I know for a fact that my face is flaring I can feel my cheeks and eyes getting redder and redder as we speak!

Just a selfie of me grinning like a maniac because my face has been looking like a face for a month now, instead of the usual red, flare-y, unhealthy mess that it was, so yes, go face, stay strong, stay smooth, you're doing amazing sweetie!

Mistake of the day: sitting on the office roof terrace with left side of the facw partially exposed to the sun for about 20 minutes. It burns now. #eczema
