๐จ AI JUST REPLACED REALTORS - THIS FIRST TIME BUYER USED AI TO BUY HIS HOME AND KEPT ALL THE COMMISSION
A first time buyer in Florida skipped the traditional realtor and used an AI platform called Homa to find, analyze, and purchase his home.
The AI searched MLS listings, ran pricing comps, generated the offer and then rebated the buyers agent commission back to him at closing, minus a flat fee.
No 3% cut.
No commission middleman.
Over $10,000 kept by the buyer instead of an agent.
Critics say buyers lose โlocal expertise.โ
Supporters say AI just exposed how inflated real estate commissions really are.
Would you trust AI over an agent?

$1 million dollars lost.
This isn't specific to @phantom. This happens all the time. According to @solflare, billions of dollars is lost every year due to self custody mistakes. More than all FTX customers combined (after the recovery). Self custody is completely, totally, and utterly broken--and the "keep your funds off exchanges" meme, although well intentioned, is just not supported by the facts. But it doesn't have to be this way. You can have full self custody, great UX, and not worry about losing your funds, well, ever.
It's time to rethink how we do self custody. It's time to change user behavior. Let's stop giving knives to people and expect them to stop cutting themselves, and let's start building not only unstoppable networks, but unbreakable products.
The path forward to this is clear. Study @multisig. Study account abstraction. And let's rethink how we self custody our assets. @Backpack is working on it, a shameless shill, but I can't wait to share what we've built.
