exactly. i do think some of what he said names real issues with norms around dating in the gay context. HOWEVER, i find it hard to believe that when you have all of these markers of traditional desirability (masc, white, fit, etc), that YOUR standards & behavior aren’t the issue.

gp doesn’t listen to full albums. singles function to pique interest. beyond his performance abilities, ppl hold mj up in high esteem bc he has HITS. recognizable songs. i think she has undersold some of the greatest albums of all time bc ppl simply don’t know the material.
