@mchamberlainPE@FirstTeeMN@TheMasters We just got our SNAG Golf equipment in the other day. We canโt wait to use it in class.
Mike what grades do you typically do golf with?
Rainbow Hockey in PE. K-2 activity. Stick handle an object and then when close enough shoot it into one of the six colored goals. Bring stick and object back and check off the color you scored in. When you get all six colors trade in for a new object to use.
Birdies and Buckets. Fun way to practice serving underhand or backhand. Students must track the shuttle so that they can catch it. If caught move spot ahead. Once they make a touchdown go to next level.
Paddle or Noodle Basketball. We used paddles first then traded for noodles later. Lots of fun and laughter. Great way to include passing, striking to a target, amount of force to strike, and different levels of striking.
Working on batting and fielding skills this week. We use this video on YouTube from Mr. Stebbin as a virtual pitcher so younger students can practice swinging before using the tees and bats later in lesson.
@ErikDanielsonPE Scooping, raking, individual challenges with a whiffle ball, wall ball if you have yarn/fleece balls that will bounce back off the wall. I do my lesson indoors.
Another year of the game Champion Lacrosse. 14 yarn balls, 10 pins on each side, 3 teams, make a neutral zone. 2:00 time limits. Students enjoyed this last game of unit to wrap up our lacrosse skills.
Working on shooting and goalie skills in lacrosse. The class watched a short video with Paul Rabil showing how to shoot @ goal. We used a yarn ball! Before using goalies, we practiced with empty goals.
