@lewis_goodall@LBC There don’t seem to be any uploaded clips from Hasan’s own stream/VOD of the supposedly important parts that were edited out. I can find clips of his reactions circulating, but zero side-by-sides showing the missing arguments. I’d say that’s telling
@jasonjnoel@CookingHub_ The levels relate to strength of evidence for risk of cancer, but not the actual risk. Level 1 just means very sure there is a risk. A daily dose of pepperoni might increase risk by a couple percent, but smoking is like a 15-30x increase.
@Telegraph It takes a minute to find out that the original records are still safe and a private company was asked to delete their analyses after accusations of sharing the data with third parties. Let’s not run away with a narrative
@tawnniee There’s a recurring theme where it provided emotional support during a troubling time. Maybe just a difficult life or a major emergency, but I think it’s a mixture of people. The consciousness stuff though I think is just being uninformed and trying to interpret the interactions
@CryptoKolumbus@artee_49@ThePrimeagen Well yeah they’re vulnerable people and they got this intense attachment from a model that was known to be poorly aligned, some of that responsibility lies with the product owners, who knew about the issue. Not to mention the documented suicide cases/lawsuits
@JoeWilliams010 People are being a bit harsh to the 4o crowd, OpenAI could take more responsibility. Most 4o users aren’t claiming consciousness though, current AI just doesn’t have a continuous, self updating internal state, which underpins thoughts and memory.
@mattshumer_ AI investor says AI will cook us unless we buy AI. Serious progress, yes. But a real “phase change” probably requires architectural breakthroughs.
@LinkedInLunat1c What’s hilarious is that the smaller amount is supposed to win out in the long run for these types of questions but in this case the 10m upfront is still better (inflation, interest, opportunity), and this idiot still doesn’t get it
@SLE_aman@daramgaria@Tormented_Onion I did say that it is slightly different, you wouldn’t want it for say a french onion soup or extra jammy onions, but it’s worth the trade off in time for a lot of cases, even if the cook is less even. I’m not an absolute purist about the label
@daramgaria@Tormented_Onion Makes sense to me, the higher heat provides faster caramelisation, but a smaller margin for error before things burn, which can be controlled with stirring + a little water to distribute & drive off heat. Slightly more of a fried vibe to low and slow though
@thekitze I remember a tweet from him a while ago saying he and his friends cut out a friend who was an alcoholic, which to me feels like the opposite thing you should do for a friend. Just feels sanctimonious. This drama about ssris is same energy
@KonstantinKisin Your show is literally called triggernometry (embarrassing name), your whole grift is to enrage people and then act calm and superior, but dig deeper and it’s just pseudo-intellectual tripe wrapped in clever words
@KonstantinKisin People are challenging you but you’re ignoring them. On net zero: 1% emissions proves nothing about economy, China/India already leading renewables. Offshore wind much cheaper than gas (£91 vs £147/MWh), renewables power nearly half the country & cut volatile gas imports
