Watching the Adobe Education Summit and am blown away by the discussions on the importance of Art, Creativity and Digital Literacy to student’s future success. I wish that schools would see the importance of bringing Art back into the classroom! #AdobeEduCreative
The kids need to know that we hear their hearts. We need to build the relationships that help them see they are loved just the way they are and are there to help them find their way. I do not teach a curriculum,I touch a soul to help bring a positive difference in their lives.
As I slow down on my break by going to see the movie about Mr. Rogers, I am reflecting on the current state of education. I worry that we are so focused and lost in the data and good work that we are unable to slow down and focus on what we really need to do as educators.
Art Club was learning how to do green screen animation this morning. We learned lessons on how to improve our process by making mistakes to help us grow as artist.
DuluthSTEAM night at Parson’s Alley. Showcasing 5th grade’s Name Kaleidoscope Project. The night got cut a bit short due to some rain trying to interrupt the event.
5th grade will be doing a radial design out of their names. After discussing the angles we would need to create 8 repeats, we explored kaleidoscopes and artworks to discover what qualities help to make a better radial design.
