Watching Ashtine's interview on Oh My Gan really hit close to home.

When she talked about how hard it is to open up to your family about your struggles, I felt that. Sometimes it's because it feels cringe, sometimes it's because you don't want to be seen as irresponsible or weak, and sometimes it's simply because your family wasn't raised to talk about those things.

Another part that stayed with me was when she shared how she started believing the negative things people said about her because of her insecurities. That honestly made me sad. It felt like my younger self was finally being seen and understood.

It's comforting to know that someone else has felt the same way. It reminds me that these struggles are more common than we think, and hearing someone speak about them so honestly can make you feel a little less alone.
