That sounds absolutely terrifying… I’m so glad your friends were there with you and that you made it safely to the hospital. The fact that you went from being unable to stand or even properly use your phone to walking normally the next morning is genuinely frightening. Whatever caused it, please don’t brush it off, something that severe deserves proper medical follow-up. And huge respect to everyone who stayed with you and helped you through it. 🙏

This is showing the Kedarnath area of Uttarakhand, India, before and after the catastrophic 2013 floods and debris flows.
Before: The valley is densely built up, with homes and businesses lining the river. The river itself is relatively narrow and clearly confined to its channel.
After: The same area has been overwhelmed by an enormous amount of mud, rocks, boulders, and floodwater. Buildings have been destroyed or buried, roads and bridges have been damaged, and the river channel has become much wider.
The disaster occurred during June 16–17, 2013, when exceptionally heavy rainfall, landslides, and flooding around the Himalayan glaciers produced devastating debris flows. Research and satellite analysis documented major changes to the river channels and extensive destruction around Kedarnath.
So the dramatic difference isn't simply "a river flooding a little." The water carried huge quantities of sediment and rock downhill, effectively reworking the landscape itself. Some settlements in the region were almost completely wiped out.
One important caveat: the graphic you've posted appears to be a recreated/composite before-and-after image, rather than the standard satellite comparison used in scientific documentation. But the disaster and the scale of destruction it depicts are real.
