"Resignation" by Florence Price was one of my favorite pieces from my recital collections.
One thing I struggled with rehearsing this spiritual was tearing up because of how deep the words I sang were. Another challenge was singing the correct diction in singing spirituals.

What do you call art?

To some, it expresses their creativity, skill, and imagination; to others, it is a language that communicates their feelings to their audience.
To me, I am art, and art lives in my soul.

It is the essence of my being.

Being one of the presenters at the Notre Dame Africa Conference was an honor. I enjoyed sharing my research work with fellow African graduate students, undergraduates and Notre Dame faculty.

My final master's recital is on the 24th of March, and it is specially dedicated to my mother and all the beautiful women who continue to make positive changes in the world.
