Dear Artists, Social Media Influencers, and Content Creators,
The situation in Eastern Congo is not about politics; it is a matter of LIFE or DEATH for Rwandans.
It is reminiscent of what happened to our country 31 years ago, when telegrams were sent to the United Nations, but were rejected because we had no oil they could exploit to help our people.
Speaking out about this issue doesn’t make one a politician, but rather a DEFENDER of your country #RWANDA in times like these.
If you are not fully informed, use your platforms to retweet or repost clarifications from @YolandeMakolo, @onduhungirehe, @UrugwiroVillage, and @PressSecRwanda.
At this moment, Rwanda needs us more than ever!
A luta continua!
Raise your hand if we’ll see you at BK Arena on Friday at #MoveAfrika for some incredible performances from John Legend,
Bwiza, and DJ Toxxyk! 🙋

You might think it’s Politics, that Tutsis in Eastern Congo are safe and only looking for minerals.
Tell Somalis, Ethiopians, and Eritreans to walk the streets of Goma on foot, to go into bars and restaurants just to get something to eat.
Tell them not to be in their homes after 6 pm.
Personally, I have been called a "Son of Kagame" many times since I was a child in those streets.
We need to wake up. The ideology that led to the killing of Tutsis in 1994 is still ongoing in Eastern Congo.
Dear #RDF comrades,
Thank you for your dedication and effective defense mechanisms at our Western border 💪.

Icyo dusabwa:
1. Gukomeza gusobanura ukuri kw’amateka yo muri aka Karere kacu
2. Kurwanya ingengabitekerezo ya Jenoside ikoreshwa mu baturanyi

“Kwesa imihigo kwacu no gukora neza ibyo dushinzwe ni uguha icyubahiro urubyiruko rw’u #Rwanda ruturindiye umutekano amanywa n’ijoro. Niyo gift tubagomba”

They discourage people from visiting Rwanda, not because it’s unsafe, not because it’s unclean, and not because it lacks adventure, but simply out of jealousy.
The DRC consistently blames Rwanda for its failures instead of addressing its own governance issues. Rather than taking responsibility for decades of poor leadership, corruption, and ethnic divisions, they use Rwanda as a scapegoat to distract from internal problems.
When their own population rises against injustice, they blame Rwanda. Yet, even if Rwanda’s partnerships with PSG, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich were terminated, that wouldn’t solve a single problem in Eastern DRC, where insecurity persists due to weak institutions and unchecked armed groups.
Despite killing 17 innocent Rwandan civilians through cross-border shelling, they still claim to be the victims of conflicts they created. Instead of working toward peace and stability, they waste time and resources trying to harm their peaceful neighbor.
What kind of leadership prioritizes deflection over progress? What kind of government allows instability to thrive while blaming others for its own failures?
Here’s a comparison of two perspectives. One from Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame and the other from South Africa’s Minister of Youth.
📌 Speaking from experience vs. Speaking from movies
📌 C-in-C vs. Civilian
📌 Battle-hardened vs. Speech-hardened
📌 Lessons from war vs. Lessons from Twitter
📌 Understands war’s burden vs. Shouting about war
📌 Fought for stability vs. Calls for chaos
📌 Knows how war ends vs. Thinks war is the answer
Rwanda has never been the darlings of the West, to receive strong political, economic, and media support from these powers.
Despite its rapid economic development and stability, Western nations and media have frequently focused on controversial issues rather than its achievements
you know what makes me happy? It’s that “small” country that was abandoned by the whole world in 30 or so years ago and now it’s shaking the entire world!
Whenever a South African talks about the DRC, they think of minerals. However, @XoliMngambi of Newzroom Afrika got a reality check from Adele Kibasumba, a member of the Banyamulenge community living in the USA.
Xoli asked her if minerals were the source of the conflict, but Adele responded that for the Banyamulenge, minerals are a distant issue. No Banyamulenge are involved in mining; instead, they are killed while simply trying to keep their cattle.
Adele fled xenophobic attacks from other Congolese tribes, such as the Mai-Mai and Bafulero, and sought refuge in Burundi at Gatumba. There, she and her community were attacked by Burundian Hutu extremists in what became one of the worst massacres of 2004. She later fled to the USA.
The real problem is not minerals, it is the ideology against the Tutsi.
A few points to wrap your heads around:
1. The DRC government collaborates with FDLR, persecuting Congolese Tutsis while the UN (GoE & MONUSCO) fails to uphold their mandates, enabling immense atrocities to continue.
