lorraine tried to make sarah laugh by chuckling, then poking her ribs.
“ now stop worrying about me, it will give you wrinkles. ”

she chuckled and hugged her sister, kissing the top of her head.

measured steps. after knocking, she noticed the door was already open and quietly stepped inside. the state of the house caught her off guard for a brief moment, but she quickly composed herself and continued

she whispered and closed her eyes briefly before opening them again. she squeezed her sister's hand and gave her a soft smile.
