Very happy to have participatced in PhD open day at @NTNU_Museum with my @SeaChangesITN project on Medieval English cod remains and their size estimations :)
Tusen takk for all the great talks on such varied aspects of archaeological research!
Had an amazing secondment with @loumgarcia and @lane_atmore at @CEESUiO! Thank you for showing me how nifty aDNA work on fish can be! A bit like a very complicated cake recipe, with no spills allowed and the cleaner the better! 🐟🦴🔨🧬@SeaChangesITN@teamfish
Ever wondered about our research at @SeaChangesITN and what we are actually doing with #AtlanticCod bones? Maybe this blog post will help! Exited to share the archaeological and biological aspects of our project🐟🌊 #teamfish#scicomm
We are exited to announce the launch of our blog series featuring project participants and their research!

The article discusses abundant fish remains recovered from Byzantine and Early Islamic sites in the Negev Desert. Zooarchaeological analysis of the fish bones revealed exploitation of diverse marine habitats. Red Sea parrotfish were likely brought in for consumption and trade!
Exited to share my first fishy article on Red Sea parrotfish in the Byzantine and Early Islamic Negev Desert! Written with Guy Bar-Oz and Irit Zohar from @UofHaifa as part of The Negev Byzantine Bio-Archaeology Research Program!🐟☀️🎣#teamfish
