Oh Anika; imagine having the gall to suggest Australians have lost trust in politicians because of trolls, bots, Russians and Chinese CCP interference. Maybe politicians should take a deeper look a little closer to home. Trust disappears when ordinary Australians are struggling with mortgages, rents, groceries and power bills while watching politicians enjoy privileges and expenses they could never ever dream of receiving themselves.
Blaming the internet for political distrust rather than examining the conduct of the political class itself is precisely the kind of tone-deaf, ivory-tower response that creates the distrust in the first place. Trust isn’t destroyed by criticism. It’s destroyed when those being criticised refuse to even listen.
@GadSaad Why are you giving this flawed individual the attention he craves. He is a sociopathic narcissist who is chronically addicted to attention. He is inconsequential.
So what your basically saying is don’t speak truth to power. Sit down shut up and take it up the ass. Well that’s not how this works. People have an obligation to call out corruption, hypocrisy and incompetence. Thats how democratic principles work. Now I know you leftards are truly authoritarian control freaks, but you haven’t implemented your dictatorship yet.
Your crime has been to look and see what’s going on and saying something. Pretty much like the boy who noticed the emperor had no cloths. God help you if you dare say anything against the cult. Their followers are verry devoted. They are hooked on the social gratification that you can only get in a cult.
@CaraMia200 An excellent self portrayal of an empty vessel. In the vacuum of any policy argument you resort to the personal. And of all juvenile personal attacks you choose most desperate. Their facial appearance. I bet you’re a real Rembrandt.
