Yep, this was my experience as well today. The manager I talked to laughed at the issue and told me to chargeback @fandango if I wanted a refund since Fandango doesn’t give refunds after showtime. Shocked that @AMCHelps @AMCTheatres would pass the buck on on an equipment issue.

@AMCHelps just went to see @officialavatar in @Dolby 3D at AMC Town Square 18 and halfway through the film the 3D cut out and never returned. Staff was made aware but no apology/explanation or refund/re-admit pass. Not cool.

Hi Dan. I’m sure you’re already aware that @Fandango won’t process a refund once the showtime has started, which according to the AMC Town Square manager meant to file a chargeback. The bigger issue is the poor quality of the staff that laughed at the equipment issue as I left.

Went to see Avatar and one of the 3D projectors went out halfway through. AMC Town Square Management acknowledged the equip. issue but refused a refund saying I could finish the movie in 2D which I could do at home or file a chargeback with @Fandango Wtf? @AMCHelps @AMCTheatres
