Video obtained by Iran International, filmed aboard a nearby vessel, captures the US military's radio warnings to the Iranian oil tanker STARK 1 before it was struck near Kharg Island.
Three warnings are audible over the VHF channel. In the first, a US military aircraft tells the tanker: "Motor Tanker STARK 1, this is the United States military aircraft. I am preparing to fire at your stern. You have 3 minutes to clear the crew from the stern of your ship. Over."
The second cuts that to one minute. The third is final: "This was your final warning... get into your lifeboats and abandon the ship immediately."
Between the warnings, crew members can be heard talking in Persian and Urdu. One asks whether the captain and his deputy are at their posts. He is told the captain is still asleep.
Iranian media reported on Saturday morning that a tanker had been hit by US forces six miles off Kharg Island, without naming the vessel. STARK 1 was carrying Iranian oil and was first sanctioned by Washington in 2018.

It may be possible that one or two have a reason for not doing so, and that will be accepted, but most should be ready, willing, and able to make this Settlement with Iran a far more Historic Event than it would, otherwise, be. The Abraham Accords have proven to be, for the Countries involved (The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and Kazakhstan), a Financial, Economic, and Social BOOM, even during this time of Conflict and War, with the current Members never even suggesting leaving, or taking so much as even a pause. The reason for this is that the Abraham Accords have been great for them, and will be even better for everybody, and bring true Power, Strength, and Peace to the Middle East for the first time in 5,000 years. It will be a Document respected like no other that has ever been signed, anywhere in the World. Its level of Importance and Prestige will be unparalleled! It should start with the immediate signing by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and everybody else should follow suit. If they don’t, they should not be part of this Deal in that it shows bad intention. In speaking to numerous of the Great Leaders mentioned above, they would be honored, as soon as our Document is signed, to have the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of the Abraham Accords. Wow, now that would be something special! This will be the most important Deal that any of these Great, but always in Conflict Countries, will ever sign. Nothing in the past, or in the future, will surpass it. Therefore, I am mandatorily requesting that all Countries immediately sign the Abraham Accords, and that, if Iran signs its Agreement with me, as President of the United States of America, it would be an Honor to have them also be part of this unparalleled World Coalition. The world is about to get a master class in antisemitism.

Israel's minister Ben Gvir's behavior towards the flotilla activists was unacceptable. I said so myself.

World leaders all posted angry denunciations of the Israeli government and summoned Israeli ambassadors for a dressing down.

Here, the same activists are receiving much more brutal treatment at the hands of the Spanish government. What we won't see however is an international outcry against the Spanish government.

This imbalance isn't due to the vagaries of international diplomacy. People hold the Jewish state to a higher standard than they do any other state, and fundamentally it's due of bigotry and hatred.

An Israeli military spokesman said on Saturday the following senior Iranian officials were among those targeted:

Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran’s Defense Council, was described as a central figure in Iran’s security decision-making process and a close personal adviser to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on security affairs.

Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps since June 2025, was identified as one of the key architects of what Israel described as Iran’s “plan to destroy Israel.”

Salah Asadi, head of intelligence for Iran’s emergency command and a senior intelligence officer within the General Staff.

Mohammad Shirazi, who headed the military office of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei since 1989, was said to have been responsible for coordinating between senior armed forces commanders and the Supreme Leader.

Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iran’s defense minister who was responsible for long-range missile production facilities.
